I view myself as an energetic, happy, positive person. Student Affairs is a career field that chose me and has, in turn, changed my life entirely. Helping others and changing lives is what I strive for. One of my passions is watching others succeed and fulfilling their destiny they have set for themselves. Students are my “why” and the driving force behind my goals and aspirations.
Student Affairs is an area that is not well-known to people outside of higher education. I believe that is what makes it a distinct professional field. Students require a sense of belonging if they are to stay at a particular institution and it is up to the professionals to assist them in finding the avenues to do just that. Achieving their goals, realizing their next steps, and how to get there is an important part of this field. I strive to be a person that they can look to for guidance and encouragement during this transitional period of their lives.
